The Iceland of postcards, without the rush.
This is the coast most people picture: waterfalls dropping off old sea cliffs, an ice cap above the fields, and a beach of black sand where the Atlantic arrives with real force.
It is a long day, so a private vehicle matters. Stop for the view nobody else stops for, linger at the glacier, and let the guide time Reynisfjara for the safest tide.
